How to fell good

When I’m feeling tired and low on energy, I fall into a dangerous cycle where even the good things in life don’t excite me.

Some might call it depression, but I don’t think it’s that serious. In fact, I’m starting to think we’re using the word depression too broadly, for any kind of sadness.

Depression is serious and has all the weight it should have, but sometimes it feels like we don’t allow ourselves to just be sad anymore. Because when we’re sad, we can understand and deal with it.

As in many cases, the best way to deal with a feeling is to acknowledge it first. Only then can we move through it and be open to new feelings.

After all, since it’s impossible to be happy all the time, sometimes we have to experience anger, frustration, joy, and even sadness once in a while. After all, remedies aren’t always the best solution.
